Storyboard examples with different theorists

 Our task was to create a storyboard from section of our music video using Todorov's three stage theory and Levi strauss' Binary opposites. Using Todorov's three stage theory we came up with the idea to have a couple who are together and in love, they fall out and break up and then in the end, come back together and are happy once again. This is a very simple example of Todorov's theory in motion, equilibrium, conflict and resolution. Levi Strauss' theory can be more difficult to implement into a music video, however it is much more interesting to watch as an audience member. There is more diversity and concept behind the music video. When creating our own example in storyboard form we came up with the idea to juxtapose dreams and reality. This meant that we made use of the divided storyboard and separated lyrics that reflected reality to those that reflected dreams. This gave us an interesting concept, however it can be confusing for the audience if it is not done clearly enough.
