Editing Practice
In our editing practise, we looked at Aha - Imogen Heap. Here, we took a specific element from the video that was created and tried to re-create it with some of the footage that we had filmed. From this, I think that the most effective editing techniques for our genre would be the layering of the shots that have a relationship, as well as colour isolation. Layering can be used to our advantage as it can be used to help highlight the idea of Levi-Strauss' idea of binary opposites, in which we are using the idea of dreams against reality. Colour isolation can also be used to our benefit for the music video as it can be used to emphasise the feeling that we want to recreate.
